CURATED STATEMENT: The communities of dance at www.thecontinentaldanceclub.com are connected by an interactive set of manifold, shared her- & his-stories of individuals on and off-site in all sensibilities and genres since 1992. Our dancers are champions of life and the world, defy gravity, inspire health everywhere, perform on six continents, author award-winning books, volunteer, host TV Shows, musify as music maestros, are SNAP stars of photography — transformed with every step they take on the dance floor.

2019 Open Exhibition Program

Thank you for registering your Open Exhibition with CONTACT, and welcome to the 2019 Festival!

So, now what? Here are some next steps to take over the coming weeks:

1) Please pay your registration fee if you haven’t yet. When you log into your account, you will see an invoice on your dashboard. You can pay directly via PayPal, or by cheque (made out to “CONTACT Photography Festival.”)

2) If you still have information/images to be finalized, you have until Tuesday, January 8, 2019 to enter it into the registration site.

3) In the event that you have to change and/or cancel your exhibition at any point between now and March 2019, please let me know as soon as possible.

Please note that the CONTACT office will be closed Dec 22–January 6 inclusive for the holidays.

A note about exhibition descriptions
All texts are edited by CONTACT to establish a consistent editorial standard in the magazine. I will contact you if substantial changes are proposed.

Please write in the 3rd person (do not use “I”), and in the present tense, as if you are writing in May 2019 (ie. use “This exhibition includes images…” instead of “This exhibition will include images…”) Be sure to write about the exhibition itself instead of giving your artist bio, so that those reading the catalogue and website will have the best sense of what they’ll be going to see.
