SNAP June advert Continental aligns with Ontario Dancing Classrooms2013 ADJUDICATORS & PERFORMERS ONTARIO FINALS OF DANCING CLASSROOMS, HELD JUNE 19TH @ THE PALAIS ROYALE, TORONTO

(RE-!) Connecting to the Palais Royale in 2013 and one of their 3 chosen charities: Dancing Classrooms, Pierre Dulaine’s worldwide project to bring the dance to those less than fortunate. What an honour and pleasure. This represents the first such volunteer adjudication and performance. Hope to inspire the younger CDC elite instructors to “give back” in some way of their own in the future.

Q: Brian Torner’s historical connection to the Palais Royale?

A: In 2000-2003 Brian Torner was HOST & COLOUR COMMENTATOR for 6 uninterrupted seasons of WTN-TV (now called “W” network) “Dancing at the Palais”, named after Toronto’s historic landmark building on Lake Ontario.

TRIVIA: Brian Torner’s former student, Canadian Amateur Latin representative, now TV and film personality, Katya Virshilas, starred next to Antonio Banderas in the Hollywood film “Take The Lead”, in which Katya danced one of the steamiest Tangos ever with Mr. Banderas, who played the role of the founder of Dancing Classrooms, Pierre Dulaine!
