… to a new decade, developing CAPING ARTISTRY into a performance art COMPETING IN 2020 in Kristina Kulikova’s DAT Project  https://datproject.ca/

HELLO ALL FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OF DANCE @ The Continental Dance Club!

2020 brings with it exciting new challenges and opportunities. The art of caping has been a “constant companion”, a leit motif if not part of, certainly a golden thread to connect me to dance, as I wish to breath renewed energy and vitality to the culture at 3141 Wharton Way new her- & his-stories of dance!

I must thank my dear friends and fellow Caped Crusaders and Ambassadors of #UrbanMatador, Ernst, Ursula, Bianca, Amie, Randy, Brigitt & John, Keren , Elizabeth, Shirley, Pollyanna, Camille, Erin, Julia Rosa, Ann, Ruud for your support, all my students worldwide and around the corner ever since my early days … and of course Angel Torres, you all helped me get this far… now I am “IN”!

Please support me in my journey to bring CAPING ARTISTRY into the public focus through this inter-disciplinary art & performance competition with your LIKE today!

THANK YOU!

Each LIKE on the DAT Project submission YOUTUBE video page gets this CAPED CRUSADER a step closer to a $500 prize for FAVOURITE VIDEO SUBMISSION. Finals of the event, should the caped crusader make it to the final … take place March 15, 2020 – on Ernst & Ursula Torner’s 60th wedding anniversary day. Ernst & Ursula Torner are Brian’s parents and many will recognize these healthy active octogenarians, who are at 3141 Wharton Way each and every day. “Uschi” the dancing mom is at the entrance Mondays through Thursdays and Ernst is now sharing space inside the ballroom next to son, Brian! The polka dot wall named PROJECT80 (artist: Brian Torner and the staff & students of www.thecontinentaldanceclub.com) recognizes the sacrifice of these two active adults, who met dancing over 60 years ago in Hamburg, Germany …. still working and dancing TODAY!

What JOY they have served to bring communities of dancers across the sensibilities and genres!

I DEDICATE MY DAT Project JOURNEY TO MOM & DAD!

lovingly,

Brian Torner
