Continental Dance Club dance director, Brian Torner, is pleased to announce the date for the NEW premier event on the CDC calendar: an in-house opportunity for students and their teachers to be validated and rewarded for their development at the entry level as per the Canadian DanceSport Federation (CDF) defined newcomer/beginner syllabus in standard and Latin American dances.

Mr. Alan Armsby, CDF Examiner, has accepted the CDC invitation to officiate as judge. Mr. Armsby has an impressive dance past & present and will lend his excellence to accessing NEWCOMER/BEGINNER (& BEYOND) MEDAL TESTING plus SHOWDANCE SPOTLIGHTS.

THANKS TO YOUR CDC TEACHERS during the 1st annual UNESCO International dance Day OPEN HOUSE on April 29th,THE CDC WAS ABLE TO RAISE $800 TOWARD FREE MEDAL PREP CLASSES HELD ON:

Tanya Cardinal will lead medalist preparation classes during the fall open to CDC members whether teachers or students. September 25   Jive,   October 7 Rumba,  October 28  Samba,   October 30 Tango,   November 25 Cha Cha  &  November 27   Waltz  ALWAYS 9:30-10:30PM

ALL CDC MEMBERS MAY JOIN THESE CLASSES FREE OF CHARGE.

Certainly students are encouraged to engage in the spirit of the birth of a medalist and accreditation system at The Continental Dance Club with the expertise and oversight of the qualified members of the Canadian DanceSport Federation!

THE CONTINENTAL DANCE CLUB – your dance metamorphosis FUN …..step by step!

Each CDC teacher will have the opportunity to dance one free spotlight up to 4 minutes in duration as their entry in BEST SHOWDANCE SPOTLIGHT, before CDC AWARDS & TEACHER PRESENTATIONS. This portion of the event will be held following special buffet-style banquet in the evening.  Daytime will be reserved for individual MEDAL TESTING of participating students under the supervision of their teacher. This event will be closed to teachers who are MEMBERS OF THE CONTINENTAL DANCE CLUB.
