QUESTION: How has this person contributed to the arts?

Angel Torres has been an extremely engaged “go-to” photographer for LGBTQ2 communities, serving the Pink Pages, INspired Media and more for years! Torres has connected and photographed dozens of important public figures for covers of PinkPages.

Angel Torres photography has been part of SNAP! Toronto – TD BANK auction event for several years including 2019. Torres has exhibited in Mississauga with CONTACT Photography Festival for two successive years at host venue The Continental Dance Club for #UrbanMatador 2018 (solo) https://scotiabankcontactphoto.com/search?q=urban+matador and #BackToTheRoots 2019 (CUBA – group).

Besides the incredible upgrades to my company website https://www.thecontinentaldanceclub.com as graphic wizard, Angel Torres is recognized as a serious artist internationally. Urban Gallery (Toronto, Canada) and Galerie Bernd A Lausberg (Duesseldorf, Germany) http://www.galerie-lausberg.com/ausstellungen/detail/monika-falke-angel-torres-achim-zeman/#ad-image-0 are among his host galleries in recent years.

Torres’ donated work is part of the permanent collection of Toronto PWA AND The Continental Dance Club, Mississauga.

Besides volunteering at http://inspireawards.ca for years, Angel Torres continues to invest time, energy and savings into upgrades in skills and equipment to best service a growing clientele with strong bent toward covering GTA’s colorful LGBTQ2 communities. In 2019, he is a proud contributing photographer in the 10 x 10 Photography Project with intent to represent Latin artists for their contributions to the arts.
